Rick Barnett Property Appraiser Resigns

"Rick Barnett, Bay County’s Property Appraiser, announced his resignation Friday afternoon through his attorney Jeff Whitton. During a news conference at his Harrison Avenue office, Whitton distributed Barnett’s resignation letter to Gov. Charlie Crist and an open letter written by Barnett to the people of Bay County. The letter to the governor states that Barnett’s resignation becomes effective Monday.
