How to Celebrate Christmas in Panama City Beach

This may be Panama City Beach in Florida, and while it’s still warm enough to go out without a jacket – we certainly don’t need the cold weather and snow to get us in the festive mood. There are plenty of seasonal events and activities happening all around town, so grab your friends and family and enjoy your very own winter wonderland, right here in Panama City Beach!

Saturday, December 5^th – Pet Photos with Santa at Pier Park.

Bring your favorite pet to the Santa House on the Boardwalk and take home a picture that you will treasure forever! This fun event takes place from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Saturday, December 5^th – Panama City Holiday Parade.

It may require a trip over the bridge but you can’t miss this holiday parade! With a “Christmas Around the World” theme, floats from local businesses, schools, entertainment and community groups, individuals, marching bands and car clubs will line the streets. The parade starts at the Panama City Marina, and then travels along Harrison Ave to 13th Street.

Sunday, December 6^th – Christmas Table Tour and Gift Sale.

Located at 17012 Hernando Avenue in Panama City Beach, the Gulf Beach Garden Club is holding a table tour and gift sale event from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm that is open to everyone. Admission is $5.00, and the event will include holiday table decorating ideas, wines, gift baskets and much more. Call (850) 234 0137.

Monday, December 7^th – Christmas Tree Lighting at Frank Brown Park.

Starting at 6:30 pm, the City of Panama City Beach will present the annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at Frank Brown Park Community Center. Music and refreshments will be provided by local school, church and civic groups.

Saturday, December 12^th – Panama City Beach Christmas Parade.

It’s parade time on the beach! Starting at 4:00 pm, this festive annual parade begins at town center, travels throughout Pier Park, and down the Boardwalk to Front Beach Road. Bonus – there will also be 3 live marching bands to help you celebrate the spirit of the season! Bands will be: Arnold Blue Thunder Marching Band, Mosley High School Band, and Surfside Middle School Band.

Saturday, December 12^th – Annual Boat Parade of Lights.

For a unique and visually stunning Christmas parade, don’t miss the annual boat parade of lights, where locals and visitors alike will gather to watch the collection of beautifully decorated boats as they set sail from the historic St. Andrew’s Marina, through St. Andrew’s Bay and into the Downtown Marina.
