Panama City Beach Mardi Gras in Pier Park on Friday & Saturday, March 4-5.
“Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez!” (Let the good times roll)
This family-friendly festival is a terrific alternative for travelers hoping to experience the culture and celebration of Mardi Gras, while enjoying a seaside vacation at one of the hottest beach destinations around.

The spirited season of carnival takes over Pier Park this weekend, morphing into one of the hottest, local destinations to celebrate the the renowned festivities of Bourbon Street. Panama City Beach’s Pier Park open-air lifestyle comes alive with two days of fabulous floats, masked performers, colorful costumes, a signature parade, street party, and plenty of mouthwatering Low Country cuisine.
Friday, March 4- (5pm)
The streets of Pier Park are closed to vehicular traffic and the second line parade begins as spectators form behind the brass band waving handkerchiefs, parasols or their arms in the air.
Saturday, March 5- (10am)
Festivities kick-off with a kid’s parade winding through the colorful mix of stores and restaurants in Pier Park
Saturday (11am-2pm)
Kids can participate in a fun-filled activity center as well as participate in a pirate costume contest, treasure hunt, face painting and mask painting.
Saturday (2pm)
The official Mardi Gras parade with King, Queen and Court begins, as majestic floats make their way along the waterfront on Front Beach Road and march through Pier Park. The street party celebration continues after the parade with live entertainment, regal costumes, masks, beads, trinkets, Cajun fare including gumbo and low-country boils, and much more.
Saturday (9pm)
The evening culminates with a spectacular fireworks display over the Gulf of Mexico.
Both days are open to the public and admission is free.

yea!!! more Mardi Gras what fun.. I am sure it won’t be as grand as St Andrews but givebn tome i bet our Panama city / pnama city beach mardi gras will grow and be better every year !!! Laissez les bon temp roulez!!!!

Pier Park already is better than the St. Andrews Parade is & lets not forget..it was the Krewe of Dominique Youx, who started the St. Andrews Mardi Gras Parade..now that St. Andrews has it’s own Krewe for a few years, it’s for them !

I have a question. We are visiting the area. My husband who has End Stage Heart Disease, can do very little walking. Can someone tell me where the best place to view the MG Parade would be. What route does it take? Does it only go through Pier Park or does it go down, Front Beach Rd? I would like to get there early enough to set up his chair, so he can enjoy the MG Parade, as we have never seen one.
