Whataburger Opens in Panama City Beach

I know you’re mouth has been watering every time you’ve driven by the Whataburger that’s been under construction on Back Beach Road.  And don’t pretend it’s not watering now, just thinking about it.  They’ve been working on it for a couple months, and it finally opened last week.

It’s located right next to the new Hardee’s in one of the Lowe’s out parcels next to the Tom Thumb gas station.  It’s in the southeast quadrant of the Alf Coleman and Panama City Beach Parkway (Back Beach Road) intersection.

The best part about this place is that it’s open 24 hours a day!

I ate there last week and was pleasantly surprised when they brought my food out to me and offered napkins and condiments right at my table.  Not sure if that will last forever, but I sure enjoyed it!  And the burger was awesome.

  1. I’ve been there twice and they both messed up my order twice. My burger was saturated with mustard and it had too much onion! I will not be coming back! Wish they would bring In and Out burger here!

  2. We used to have these here in Tennessee Jason but, seems they have all closed…… we always enjoyed them. On one of our “day trips” driving up the coast we found a Whataburger in Destin, we laughed about it & stopped to eat there. It was very tasty & super clean. It gave us nice memories & we enjoyed our meal.
I’m sure we will enjoy this one in PCB… and, it’s in a good location.
Thanks for the news, we are on our countdown here, be there on June 16th!
    Yeaaaa!! 🙂

  3. I’ve been there a few times now and 98% of the time they screw up the orders. I’m hoping it’s just because they are new. But if it continues, I will probably not go back!

    1. DJ…… any hamburger could have this even the ones you cook at home! Eating in “moderation” is the key here…. if you go each day & eat a double meat burger soon you will have a double belly!
Moderation……. we can all eat just about anything we like & want but, just not overdo it.

      1. If a burger you cook at home contains all of what DJ has listed you are doing something very wrong.

      2. Not in my home. I was a Navy Diver and marathon runner. Training to run, many years ago I learned red meat was not an efficient food source so I avoided it. I selected fish or fowl. In resent years with the awareness of earth’s climate change and the high impact from raising cattle, it was easy to quit buying red meat all together. I say “buying” because if friends serve it I will not make an issue of it. Red Meat is tasty but one should be aware of the downside. Most people aren’t. With American Obesity at 35.7%, “moderation” is not on their plates.

    1. I am very proud of my comments concerning PCB, a place I dearly love. I am also proud to place my God given name next to any comment I post & with it…… the great state I reside in.

  5. All in my family really Love Whataburger burgers and are really excited over the new facility opening on Hwy 77 in Lynn Haven, next! Wow! It’s been a while since we’ve had a Whataburger in the Panama City, Florida area! These recent changes at the beach and in Lynn Haven are really great for our area! PS, In and Out, burgers are also great! But, for now, I’m still pretty happy, love those extra onions!

  6. If you cannot get a shake or fresh fries late night you need to take it off the menu at that time. the burger is great but I quit going because of no shake and refried fries after midnight anx I work late shift 7 days a week
