Mardi Gras at the Beach – Full Event Schedule [THIS WEEKEND]

Every year since 2009, Pier Park has played host to one of the greatest Mardi Gras celebrations in the southeast.  This year is no different with the celebrations kicking off tomorrow and running through Saturday evening.

We’ve covered this event extensively in the past  and this year’s event is sure not to disappoint.

Mardi Gras @ Pier Park a Success! 40,000 Show Up, Park Everywhere

Mardi Gras 2010, or more aptly named Mardi Gras at the Beach was put on by the Krewe of Dominique Youx.  This monumental event far exceeded expectations of local officials, event organizers and locals alike.  Last year the event was huge despite poor weather and threatening rain.  This year, with cloudy skies, a peeking sun and chilly weather, the event was even MUCH larger. 2010 Mardi Gras at the BEACH – EXPANDED

You may have noticed that the title of this post is NOT Mardi Gras Parade, rather Mardi Gras at the Beach.  Yes, this is intentional.  This year’s Mardi Gras celebration on Panama City Beach will be much bigger than last year’s celebration.  Instead of a parade and after party, this year the event will span over two days, starting Friday evening and going until midnight Saturday.
