Marina Landing Condos up for Auction

Marina Landing, a new condo development at the foot of the Hathaway Bridge in Panama City Beach will be auctioning off 25 new condos Thursday June 26th, 2008.

Marina Landing is a 16 story, 87 unit marina condominium development with stainless steel appliances, window walls and 10 foot ceilings. The marina has 41 slips that are available for lease to the residents.

The building was released to the market almost one year ago and has seen little activity. With pricing ranging from $534,500 to $2.09 million, less than half have closed.

From what I’ve heard, the condos are extremely nice, but they have ingress/egress issues and a disadvantage they are not on the beach. I say disadvantage understanding that it depends on who the buyer is.

The auction is for 25 condos, but the developer can expand it to 55 if he sees fit.

  1. It seems everything Wes Burnham and the Edgewater gang has ever touched has turned to gold. This condo would have done good in normal times. I imagine they arent doing very good at the townhomes by Walmart either.

  2. I own at Hibiscus, right around the corner. We own our slips and the price is much better than Marina landing units. Our boats are more protected back in Lighthouse lagoon. We have a pretty view of the bridge without having to sit right on the road. Over all better situation and value.

  3. I am sure many of the new PCB condo developments would have done very well had the town not allowed OVER development.

It seems so obvious that common sense and good business practices were abandoned when approval was given to SO many condos at the same time.

    Again…poor leadership!

  4. what do you mean by “not so desparate”. What were sales prices at the auction? weren’t able to attend.
