Be sure to come to Pier Park for the July 4th festivities.
Every year the fourth of July festivities at Pier Park on Panama City Beach goes out with a bang, literally. They will be shooting the fireworks from the beach, and the party will be at Aaron Bessant Park.
Starting at 5 and going to 9:30, there will be performances by Herd of Turtles and Stillhouse, and Veterans Memorial Rededication, and a Patriotic Pet Parade and Golf Card Decorating Contest.
Be there or be square.

The venue for this event was fantastic! I look forward to next year and appreciate the effort and planning into this year’s event. I REALLY hate I was not able to drag the entire family to the pet and golf cart parade. It looked like a ton of fun!
I hope that all involved in organizing this event will take note of this year’s festivities. From the reaction of many at the concert (herd of turtles) awaiting the fireworks show, I think most would agree a better, more neutral band could have been featured. I hope that a more “family-friendly” band will play next year. I respect various tastes/genres of music in the concert series and appreciate diversity…however, I hope a more universal music choice could be made for a the diverse audience awaiting fireworks…especially when the band continues to play several minutes into the fireworks show.

Jerry said it all if the right music cant be played during the fireworks, then nothing should be played. However were going to give it a shot this year. Lets see if the get it right this year. Remember this is a family event.
