“Back To The 50’s (and 60’s) Tonight” Presented by the Pyramid School of Fine Arts.

Remember the days when Eisenhower was president, Bill Haley was Rockin’ Around The Clock, and the Space Race had just begun?  So do the folks at the Pyramid School of Fine Arts, and their friends Rocky and Randall Akins of Beach 95.1’s “The Rocky and Randall Road Show”.

“Back To The 50’s (and 60’s) Tonight” is a musical and comedy review of favorite hits from yesteryear. Appearing onstage will be local performers Three Times A Lady, Sweet Harmony, and Rockin’ Company, to name just a few.

The performance will be held at 7PM on Friday, February 26th, at the J.R. Arnold High School Auditorium, 500 N. Alf Coleman Road on Panama City Beach.

“Back To The 50’s (and 60’s) Tonight” is a fundraiser performance to benefit the Pyramid School of Fine Arts, a non-profit, privately funded day training center for adults with developmental disabilities. The Panama City location offers a full range of classes in visual and performing arts, catering to each student’s level of ability and interest.

Pyramid students volunteer regularly in the community in many different venues. The Rescue Mission’s most recent Festival of Trees included an entry from Pyramid that took third place in the “Large Tree” division, and several Pyramid artists are regular contributors to Covenant Hospice’s Mask Parade. Student artists receive commissions on their artwork, and skills enrichment programs which are individually tailored to their goals and abilities.

The Pyramid Gallery is located at 524 Harrison Avenue in downtown Panama City and features student artwork and jewelry. Friday night’s show features several student performers, and will include a showing of student artwork in the theater lobby.

Tickets to the show are available for $10 each by calling 850-872-8105. They can also be purchased at the door on the day of the show.
