There are a lot of new and exciting things happening in and around Panama City Beach and as we all know, the new airport has the potential to be a catalyst for economic and social growth for the entire region. So many people have shared in this vision that we thought it would be interesting to our readers to hear from Panama City Beach luminaries and respected community figures about what is to come. Will the changes and growth turn our economy around? What are the benefits for specific sectors within the community? What will Panama City Beach look like 5 years from now?

“Optimism on Panama City Beach” is our exciting new series that will be featured on PCBDaily.com for the next seven weeks. Why seven? It just seemed like an optimistic number of people to include! Let’s face it, we’ve all heard the negative. Now it’s time to share our enthusiasm and spread the word along with a healthy dose of optimism. Panama City Beach will be buzzing and we would love you to be a part of it! Every Monday, watch this space for an optimistic and upbeat viewpoint from someone well-known or notable in our community. You won’t see anything like this anywhere else, and not only will you get to hear some great insights into the potential future of Panama City Beach, you will have the opportunity to respond and put forward your own thoughts and points of view.

  2. I’ve said many times, particularly to prospects and clients, when the recovery starts, its going to start in Bay County. Relocating companies look for infrastructure(roads, public transit, water, labor pool), transportation (rail line, deep water port, functional and accessable airport), weather and quality of life (we’re adding the missing link-the new airport). To borrow and paraphrase the song lyrics. “look out, here she comes”!!!!!

  3. I too am looking forward to this series. As a Bay County native and young professional working in the area, I am looking forward to the opportunities the airport will bring to our region. I strongly believe that my generation and future generations will be provided with immense opportunities and benefits that have never existed before.

Thank you for spotlighting optimism on Panama City Beach and beyond!

  4. We have owned our condo on the beach for 14 years. We are retired and have lived in it for almost 2 years. We are updating it for the 3rd time. Very proud owners. Very proud residents of PCB, and look forward to not only an upswing in the real estate market in this vicinity but a very welcoming area for retirees as well as vacationers of the future.

  5. Jason, great idea!

We will plan to pass this along to our vacation renters and prospective condo owners here at RCS. We are very excited about all of the happenings here in PCB and hope it translates into increased tourist traffic and of course more rentals for our 20 luxury beachfront condos on VisitPCB.com!

  6. The future of Panama City Beach just excites me. I love it here. As a condo owner I always get a tear in my eye when our stay is done and we have to go back to our home in Minn. Buying a condo here at Celadon back in 2004 was one of the best moves I’ve ever made. Keep up the good work PCB Daily.

  7. I am very excited about the future of real estate in this area. With Pier Park, now the new International Airport, all of our fine restaurants, I just know it’s going to turn around.

This was a very good idea, Jason. Please keep up the good works! Cherry
