PCB Stimulus: Win a FREE WEBSITE

With all the glum news floating around, we figured we’d come up with a way to bring a little cheer into your lives.  So, we’re giving away a free website. That’s right, you read right: One FREE website!  We know from past surveys that a large portion of our readers are small and medium business owners or you work in a small or medium business.  And, after looking around a little, we know that there are a lot of sites that need a little love.  We’re gonna help change all that.  This is what we’re gonna do.

We’re giving away a free website, $999 in value. If what you want ends up costing more than $999, then you’ll have a $999 credit towards what you want.  This is HUGE!  That’s almost a $1,000 giveaway ( ) – which is by far our largest in value giveaway to date.

By now, it’s no secret that PCBDaily is owned by CYber SYtes, a Panama City Beach web design company.  We employ some of the best designers, copywriters and creatives in the Florida Panhandle and have helped change the face of business on the web for countless businesses just like yours.

What do you have to do to sign up to win, you ask? Just post a comment in the comments section below telling us a little about your business.  If you want to share your website, cool.  If not, that’s cool too.  We’ll let this go on for about 14 days before we do the drawing.  And, we’re gonna do the drawing LIVE just to make it fun.

Who qualifies? Everyone. We’ll not employees of CYber SYtes or PCBDaily.com but you get the idea.  You can use this for whatever you want.  If you own a business and you want to sign up – cool, go for it.  If you are an individual that has no business, but wants a website for personal use – sweet, hope you win, sounds fun.  If you work for a company and you want to win the site (or credit towards a site 😉  ) then you can sign up for your company.  You see, we’re pretty loose here and this is all in good fun.  We want to help and we know you need it, right?

So, to enter post a comment about your business below. Good luck!

Here are the “official” rules.

  • Each entrant can enter once and only once (we can verify this by ip AND cookies) and must use a valid first name and email address.
  • Contest begins when this post is published and ends on Friday June 25, 2010 at 12 noon CST.  We’ll do the drawing later that day.
  • We will be doing the drawing regardless of how many people enter.
  • There will be 1 winner total.
  • By entering you are opting in to receive future newsletters and emails from PCBDaily and CYber SYtes and you are opening yourself up to the greatest resource for news and information Panama City Beach has to offer.
  • If you are selected and you do not respond to our email notifying you of winning within 7 calendar days of the close of the contest, then we reserve the right to award the prize to another entrant.
  • This giveaway is open to anyone in the continental United States.  If you win, you will be solely responsible for making arrangements with CYber SYtes to redeem your prize.

I would love to get a professional, polished look to my site that encourages folks to communicate with me, to let me help them for free.

We are a sign busniess in the western suburbs of Chicago with a strong tie to Panama City Beach. We have many friends in the area and a condo, so we frequent PCB on a regular basis. We’re virtual locals as the saying goes.

Try my website . . . now you know why I need a new one!

  3. I am a real estate agent that needs to update my marketing. In today’s market a web site is a key item to success. Due to the slow market & now the impending oil spill my income has dropped considerably over the past few years. I had a web site in the past but I was not happy with the company I was with so I shut the site down, & have never spent the money to get a new up and runnig.

  6. The Jinks Band Boosters need a website to help communicate events and fundraisers. After years of a shrinking school population and funding cuts to the program, our band is finally growing again! The kids are terrific, enthusiastic performers, and the band director does a great job of making true musicians.

With all this growth, a website will be a huge help. Thank you, PCBDaily, for the chance to win.

  7. Our website, we used for people to look at our songlist and hear some music. It is a free web site and we really did not need that much. Now with the Treaure Ship burning, we have to look more employment. We were the house band there for 16 years so the website was ok to get a wedding booking or for our fans to locate us. We need a more professional website and could really use a free one!!!

  10. I have rented my condos for a few years now without a website. More and more I see that having a website to link to would be a really great asset for my rentals. A couple of years ago I bought a website name, but I don’t have a clue how to start the website. I don’t even know how to get rid of the website name. I tried and I just could not create the website myself. I truly see that it is a job for a professional.

It would be great to be considered for this.

    Thanks!!!!!!!

I could really use a professional looking website. I did mine by myself and really don’t know what I’m doing. Hopefully a more professional one will help attract more renters especially with what is going on in the Gulf. Losing rentals and inquiries, even though our beaches are still beautiful.

  14. I would love to win the website because I recently started a nonprofit and I need help to get our grass-roots campaign off the ground. The Think Blue Initiative was created to:

    1) Educate as many people of all ages as possible about aquatic and marine environments and the crucial role of water in human existence, as well as about the growing global water crisis. Rather than providing the simple transmission of information, instead we seek to impart the inspiration to become engaged and involved in finding solutions.
    2) Encourage the conservation and preservation of aquatic resources and marine ecosystems, while acting with the knowledge that the hydrological cycle permeates every layer of existence on our planet, and, in fact, is what makes life on Earth possible.
    3) Support and promote scientific research and programs with a focus on matters which relate to water.

I started a Facebook page, but in order to really get started and make a real impact, I desperately need a website. It seems like these days you don’t really exist today unless you are on the web, particularly the demographic I am most interested in reaching and inspiring. So, in other words, I need to win the website so I can encourage everyone to Think Blue so that we can save our planet one drop of water at a time.

  18. Hello Jason and Karen,

Karen and I own a small (17 unit) condominium rental management business, Resort Condo Services, which has been in business for just 4 years now and manage condos for other owners at Celadon, Sunrise, and Calypso. We have a great domain name, VisitPCB.com, but our website was built for us several years ago on an old release of DotNetNuke.

We are not graphic designers and the site is very difficult to use. With a professional site that is optimized for search engines, we feel like we could really improve our Internet visibility and our overall rental revenue for all of our owners. We would also like to open up our site to online bookings but that is really not possible for us to do.

Thanks for the consideration and best of luck to all! Great contest!!

PS: Enjoyed meeting you and Karen at last year’s Wine and Music Festival!!

  19. Jason,

Lucinda and I are thinking of starting a new business here in PCB that re sells gently used beach equipment. Chairs, umbrellas, pop-up canopies, the stuff the tourists leave behind on the beach that winds up in the land fill. Our site is http://ReBeach.com and while the idea is in it’s infancy, the concept is basically ReCycle, ReNew, ReUse, ReBeach! ReBeach – A Greener Way To Do The Beach!

I don’t know if there would be enough support for this kind of product but we would offer a buy back program for tourists to encourage them to do something else with the chairs (and other equipment) they only used for a week other than putting them in the landfill here. It is in line with the new Countywide Panel to Research Recycling Programs and may qualify as a green business.

All items would be sold at a discounted price to vacationers needing the chairs and umbrellas and other items we would carry.

We have registered our domain name, and I have contacted the Mayor, the director of sanitation, and the President of GCCC about our idea and how we might be able move forward with it. We will be applying for start up grants and we are currently still trying to determine if there actually is a market for this kind of thing.

  20. Wow! Great offer to us locals, thanks!

My business is undergoing a transition and truly needs a facelift. I offer services that allow people to remain in their home while they recuperate from an injury, illness or age-related difficulties. My clients often are elderly, living on a fixed income. The recession has hit them very hard and many struggle to pay for anything beyond the essentials – housing, food and medicine. Yet these are the same people who are the first to offer their help and are a wonderful untapped source of information and talent.

I am focusing my efforts to form a new business model called rePURPOSE. This is a volunteer co-op that will match the needs of its members within the group itself. Volunteer hours are donated, then calculated and assigned a value that can be redeemed for services. Monies generated within the co-op can be used to make bulk purchases that benefit members.

My inspiration comes from a client who has struggled with severe physical limitations for decades. She needs assistance for many daily activities which she has to pay for on a very limited budget. This same woman makes a weekly trip to the hospital. It is where she volunteers on Tuesdays.

My paradigm shift demands I find a way to offer her the services she needs at no cost. Allow her to use that money to buy paper goods at a reduced cost. And let her spirit soar as she helps another.

      1. Hi Michelle,
Yes my clients vary in age and I would love to have a broad group involved in rePURPOSE – the idea is to have it become self-sustaining!

  21. Hi Jason,
My daughter Kerry and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a professional webpage! When we bought our dream beach condo in 2006, we purchased a domain name, but did not know how to create a website to go along with it. Our family has had a love affair with Panama City Beach since the 80’s, when my husband, three daughters, and I – with a fold-up camper in tow – discovered Paradise and the sugar-white sandy beaches and clear waters of Panama City Beach at St. Andrews State Park. My husband’s life ended in 2002, but the tradition that he began lives on. He would be very proud of his ten grandchildren who look forward to this trip with their “Country Grandma” every spring. Family spring break at Panama City Beach has been an annual event for us, and this year we rented three condos in addition to staying in our own! Speaking of our condo – we DESPERATELY need a professional website to promote our special place in the sun at one of the “World’s Most Beautiful Beaches”… Now more than ever.

I seriously have the opportunity of a lifetime!

I won a contest that will allow me to try 8 different jobs in 8 weeks this summer! In 2007, a guy named Sean Aiken graduated from college and had no clue what he wanted to do, so he worked 52 jobs in 52 weeks. Now I am one of 3 people that gets to try the experience on a smaller scale!

My first job will be June 28th and I will be working as a coffee roaster! I have other jobs lined up, but still have 5 more jobs to line up.

Winning the website would be awesome so I would have a personal page to direct potential employers to. I could have my travel videos, blog, and a place to contact me.

So in case anyone read this and is interested in hiring me for a week, check out this link for more info about The One-Week Job Project

Nothing is as it once was and what one hled as universal truths appear to be truths no longer. It is a scary time for seniors; there is no time to wait out the market. One must act when the time is right for them.

I understand these difficult choices and want to help seniors make the best decisions for themselves, given the times. Customer service centers around listening to the buyer or seller and helping them do what they must.
