Weekend Events – Halloween This Weekend

Here are this weekend’s events.  With Halloween this weekend, we have some really spooky stuff going on here, in Panama City Beach.  With things all up and down the beach, there is everything from family friendly to adult fun.

You’ve told us, and we’ve listened.  Staring next Monday, we’ll be publishing the weekend events on Monday morning, just in time for the Tuesday morning newsletter.  This will give you some more time to plan ahead!

Books Alive…Local!

For something literary, a little bit different, and a lot local, this Friday the 29th, The Bay County Public Library presents Books Alive Local!  Friday morning at 10, writers talk about romance-and mystery! Well known World War II  Writer Bruce Gamble will be here, along with Michael Lister, Marlene Womack and a host of other local authors. Saturday morning at 9 come back for conversation, sales, signings and more!

PCB Senior Center Halloween Party and Dance

Dance to your favorite CDs at the Oatfield Building on Lyndell Lane, PCB Senior Center.  Fortune Telling, Treasure Hunt. Tickets available at the Cypress House or at the door for $7.  Light refreshments will be served, you can BYOB and setups are available.

Schooners’ Halloween Party

Fast becoming a tradition, Friday night wear your favorite costume, or just check out the locals at Schooners.  Scary decorations, live music, dancing, food and a costume contest with cash prizes!

Scarecrow Festival

October 30th, see the Scarecrow Festival in St. Andrews, and at Oaks by the Bay Park, enjoy games,storytelling for the whole family, as well as entertainment under the gazebo,  and a trick-or-treat trail.

Pier Park

Saturday at Pier Park, children and their families can enjoy  spooky stories, arts & crafts and a Dog Howl-o-ween costume contest!  Starts at 10 a.m.

Festival of Nations

A local favorite – see what Bay County really has to offer at the Festival of Nations in downtown Panama City. Saturday beginning at 10am, and continuing until 8pm, and continuing Sunday,  10am-5pm.
The Festival of Nations brings the world to you, complete with all the sights, sounds, and delicious tastes you’d experience traveling the globe, all prepared by our neighbors. There will be small rides and live entertainment, and vendors with arts and crafts from all over.  Get an early – and unique – start on your holiday shopping!
