The weekend has left us, but in its wake remain a million great memories and countless beads.
The 3rd Annual Pier Park Mardi Gras, hosted by the Krewe of Dominique Youx has outdone itself again.
Hundreds of people swarmed Pier Park, vying for parking and hot spots along the parade route. Even the gloomy weather couldn’t damper the crowd’s spirited merry-making despite its best attempts. Everywhere you looked, there were hordes of people celebrating the event, armed with Funnel Cake or assorted goodies from the accompanying vendors.
The event had something for everyone, including a Kids Parade and an insanely adorable Dog Parade. Classic Cars, dancing in the streets and numerous floats filled the weekend long event with laughter and fun. No one seemed able to escape its appeal and with energy levels running contagiously high, it’s no surprise the festivities carried over into the evening.

Oooooh Man…….. I just wish I could have been there. I bet it was wonderful!
Do you think there is anyway something of this sort can be held in early June?
I would love to attend that or for that mater what about in September, any plans for a fun happening around that time?
Glad everyone had a blast…..
