About the Dvorak No. 9 Symphony

The No. 9 Symphony was composed in 1893 during a visit to the United States.  It is also referenced as “From the New World,” and was mentioned as No. 5 in earlier recordings and mentions.  There are four movements in this piece, and was debuted at Carnegie Hall.  Dvorak was a Czech composer of late romantic music; sometimes his style is referred to as romantic-classical fusion.  The No.9 Symphony is one of his best known works.
