Announced today, REAL.FUN.BEACHFEST will be held on June 1, 2013 and will host some pretty big names in music targeting the “tween” demographic. With the goal of kicking off summer tourism with a bang, this event will be held at the newly opened Aaron Bessant Park Amphitheater.
Summer tourism is big business down here, but typically the first two weeks in June are markedly slower than the rest of the summer. Speaking from experience, events like these are huge for all those that rely on tourist traffic because they often times bring in people that wouldn’t normally come during that period, or come at all.
One of the funnest parts about this event is that it’s hosting family friendly music targeted towards kids, so it’ll bring the demographic we all love to our beaches.

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FLA., April 12, 2013 – Panama City Beach and Clear Channel Media and Entertainment announce the first annual REAL.FUN.BEACHFEST on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 7 p.m. at the new Aaron Bessant Park Amphitheater. Chart-topping pop music sensations The Wanted and Cody Simpson will be joined by breakout artists Britt Nicole and DJ Alex Angelo for an unforgettable summer evening of music on the Emerald Coast shores of Northwest Florida.
Fresh off a People’s Choice Awards win for Breakout Artists of the Year, and nominated for Best Music Group at the Radio Disney Awards, U.K. boy band phenomenon, The Wanted, will get crowds jumping with top tracks like “I’m Glad You Came” and “Chasing the Sun.” Fellow headliner and singer-songwriter Cody Simpson, a Radio Disney nominee for Best Male Artist and Best Crush Song, will keep the party pumping with songs like “Wish You Were Here” feat. Becky G. They’ll be joined by DJ Alex Angelo from Cleveland,Ohio, who will open the festival with impressive dance and DJ skills, and Britt Nicole, who has experienced major success through her inspirational lyrics and melodies.
Slated as an annual event for years to come, REAL.FUN.BEACHFEST will host 7,500 attendees at the new Aaron Bessant Park Amphitheater as they flock to the stage to hear the hottest beats in paradise.
