HUGE Celebration at Pier Park THIS SATURDAY

Pier Park will come alive this weekend with BeachFest!  This fun, family oriented event will take place Saturday, July 17th starting at 4:00 pm with the evening events ending with a 9:00 pm fireworks show.  It’s a celebration of thanks for all of the guests visiting Panama City Beach whether they are visiting from 20 or 2,000 miles away.  It’s all about family fun at Panama City Beach and there is no charge.

Hundreds Gather Against Offshore Drilling – Hands Across The Sand

It was a BEAUTIFUL Saturday in Panama City Beach, and if one didn’t watch the news (or follow pcbdaily), one might have no idea oil from the Deep Water Horizon is looming in the Gulf, posing a serious threat to our coastal living.

On June 26, 2010, hundreds gathered behind Spinnaker Beach Club to draw a line in the sand to say “No to new offshore oil drilling, and Yes to clean energy “. How did they do this? By joining hands.

Pier Park Summer Concert Series Line-Up Announced

It’s that time of year again – the popular Pier Park summer concert series is back on Thursday, June 10th 2010! The concerts  are held at the Aaron Bessant Amphitheater adjacent to Pier Park, and are free and open to the public! Shows start at 7pm and usually last til around 9pm. There’s always a variety of different music stylings to choose from, ranging from reggae to jazz and everything in between. Bring your favorite lawn chair or blanket, cooler and picnic, and relax in comfort as you enjoy some fantastic music in the balmy outdoors. A truly awesome way to spend a Thursday evening in Panama City Beach.

Vote NOW – Pick the best Business Expo Video

Two weeks ago the Panama City Beach’s Chamber of Commerce Business Expo raised the roof under the big top at Boardwalk Beach Resort.  This fantastic event showcased all the best businesses this area has to offer and threw in a little fun with a circus theme.  Mimes, jugglers, dancers and clowns were found wandering the creative booths that had everything from live performances to free peanuts.

Panama City POPS Orchestra Presents Enchanting Escapades

This Saturday, May 8th marks the end of another hugely successful Panama City POPS Orchestra 2009/2010 season. The final concert of this season is named Enchanting Escapes, and you definitely won’t want to miss this spectacular musical performance!

Enchanting Escapes will feature an evening of stunning music with the usual classical/contemporary blend that the Panama City POPS Orchestra is famous for. “An American in Paris” by George Gershwin, (American composer/pianist 1898-1937) and “Mars – Bringer of War” by Holst (English composer 1874-1934) are just two of the offerings on the concert’s schedule. Thunder Beach Venue at Bay Point Off to a Good Start

I know that a lot of people, myself included, were pretty shocked when we first heard that Bay Point was going to be one of the venues for this year’s Thunder Beach spring rally. The two just didn’t seem go together, and there were many understandable concerns from Bay Point and Panama City Beach residents about the potential noise and disruptions from the large number of motorcycles.
