FREE Food and Fun at Pier Park this Saturday 11/3

Instead of asking what is going on this weekend…..maybe the question should be what is NOT going on this weekend?

Panama City Beach and her surrounding areas are growing and so is the list of things to do!  The exciting part is that list of events is growing more diverse, from fitness to funky to family fun like this weekend’s Fall Festival at Pier Park.  The Fall Festival is an annual event of Woodlawn United Methodist Church, this year marking the fourth year it is at Pier Park.

The event is open to the public and is at no cost to participants, with all food, games and treats like kettle corn, cotton candy and more for FREE.  Participants will also enjoy LIVE MUSIC and prizes.

Woodlawn UMC like many of the churches in our area, emphasizes service to their community, so the fall festival is just another way to give back.

Woodlawn hopes area families will take advantage of this FREE event and enjoy a few hours of fellowship and games with their loved ones.  The event is Saturday, November 3rd from 10 am to 2 pm.

The church can be reached at 850-234-3196 or you may visit their Facebook page.

This Weekend In PCB….

This weekend will be an action-packed one here in Panama City Beach, with larger events, such as UNwineD and the Ironman competition, overshadowing some of the other events.  Take a look at the other events taking place this weekend!

Madonnaro

The Visual Arts Center of Northwest Florida brings you Madonnaro!  This will be the sixth year these event has been held, and is always a crowd-pleaser.  Artists are encouraged to paint (with chalk paint) an 8×10-ft spot on the sidewalk, supplies will be provided.  Artists will begin work each day at 9am.  Friday night at 6pm, saxophonist Chris Godber will be performing while a featured artist creates performance art and “paints with fire.”  This event is one-of-a-kind!

Deck the Palms

November 4th-November 6th, Palms Conference Center

Transforming the Palms Conference Center into a winter wonderland, Deck The Palms promises to offer great deals to price-conscious shoppers.  This event is a must for those looking to get ahead on holiday shopping!  Friday’s hours are 11am-8pm, Saturday the event will be open 9am-6pm, and Sunday the winter wonderland will be open 10am-3pm.  Various booths will be set up to help you find the perfect gifts for everyone on your shopping list.

Friday Fest

For the last Friday of the season, Downtown Panama City will be lit up for Friday Fest!  Music, food, and fun are bound to be had at the monthly street festival.  In the spring, the first Friday of the month festival will start again.

Woodlawn Church Fall Festival

November 5th, Pier Park Amphitheater

Join the Woodlawn Church from 10am-2pm for inflatables, carnival games, stilt walkers, crafts, and live music!  There will also be a dunking booth, a train ride, and more!  If you get hungry, there will be hot dogs, chips, BBQ, soft drinks, ice cream, cotton candy, popcorn, and kettle corn.  This event is free, and almost everything there will be free as well.  Woodlawn is holding this event to reach out to the community, so don’t forget to bring a friend or two!

Whatever you decide to do this weekend, it’s sure to be a blast!  Have fun and be safe!

Boo in Pier Park Pictures

I took the kids to Boo in the Park at Pier Park in Panama City Beach today.  The weather has been crumby for the last couple of days, but overnight, everything cleared up and today, was just flat-out gorgeous, we totally live in paradise.  Of course, the fact that Pier Park is just so dang beautiful helps a lot too.

They had pumpkin carving today, a pet parade, arts and crafts supported by the Visual Arts Center of Panama City (suppor the arts!), pine-straw bale mazes, bouncey houses, a helicopter display, and tons more.  It was a blast, the kids had a blast, everyone was having a blast.  And did I say that today was so absolutely beautiful?  Man, I love Panama City Beach.

Check the pix.

Pumpkin Patch at Woodlawn United Methodist

Every year, Woodlawn puts on a pretty awesome fall festival with tons of cool stuff to do with the kids.  Last year it was at the church, but this year it will be at Pier Park.  With the festival, they will be kicking off a pumpkin patch fund-raiser for the youth.  The pumpkins won’t have a set price, as I understand it, but will be purchased by us for whatever we want to donate.

If you want to get a pumpkin for a good price, and know that your money is going to a good cause, this is the place to do it.

The fall festival is this Saturday from 10am to 2pm, but the pumpkin patch will be open Monday – Saturday 10 am to 7pm at Woodlawn United Methodist Church, across from Arnold High School on Panama City Beach.  You can get more information by calling Woodlawn United Methodist at 850 234 3196.

Fall Festival at Pier Park

On Saturday October 4th from 10 am until 2 pm at the Pier Park Amphitheatre at Aaron Bessant Park, Woodlawn United Methodist Church is putting on a fall festival for all to enjoy.  There will be live music, carnival games, ten inflatables, train ride, plasma cars, stilt walkers, balloon makers, cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn, hotdogs, chips, barnyard olympics and more.

The cool part is that everything is free.  Well, almost everything.  The only thing that you’d have to pay for is a pumpkin, should you decide to support the annual youth Pumpkin Patch fundraiser.

This sounds like a ton of fun, everyone should check it out with their kids.
