Get Your Phone Fit for Summer

Is your phone fit for summer?  Concerts are back on at Pier Park, it’s bike riding weather at Conservation Park and the beach is calling our name, so who wants to be carrying their charger with them everywhere?

All this talk about getting bikini ready and what not I figured I would get my phone ready for the beach too.  So I headed over to Sunjammers Watersports, where we filmed the last episode of The Beach Show and plundered through their phone accessories.

When the weather gets warm like this again, I want to be OUTSIDE!  Only problem, is being in sales and marketing, I am constantly on my phone…emailing, texting, facebooking and because of that, my phone is always DYING!

So last time I was in Sunjammers I happened to mention this to owner Brad Stephens and he showed me this nifty little thing called a Mophie Juice Pack, and I fell in love.

Alright, so I did not fall in love all it once, but this is what I liked about it:

1. It is multi-functional,  it has a protective case to combat the constant drops and dark recesses of my purse AND it has a battery pack

so your phone stays charged.

2. It is easier to clean that my OtterBox, which seems to attract make-up.

3. Oddly enough, the extra weight from the battery pack, makes me more aware of it and I swear I don’t drop it as much.

4. And my favorite…it is actually EASY to take on and off, so no breaking your nails or looking for a sharp object to pry it open like the Life Case.

 

So after Brad hooked me up with the Mophie Case I needed, with pink on it of course, I remembered my tendency to drop my phone in bodies of water…and the washing machine etc.  Like you haven’t put your Iphone on the spin cycle?

So after my love affair with the Mophie Juice Pack simmered down, I found one of those cool AquaPac covers that keep your phone, tablet, you name it, dry and sand free.  So now I am all set for the sunshine and my phone is beach ready!

Vote Panama City Beach for the Ultimate Fishing Town USA

We all know Panama City Beach is one of the best fishing towns in the country, and now we have a chance to prove it!  We just discussed 4 Reasons PCB’s THE BEST Fishing Spot in the USA, today YOU have to go vote!

Yesterday we were in number 3, today we’ve slid to number four – BEHIND KISSIMMEE!  Kissimmee isn’t even a coastal town!

Alright, so you can tell I’m a bit disappointed.  We have to get the word out on this, we have to let people know that we’re in the running!  Destin is over 1,000 and I know we can catch up.

This is what I need everyone to do.

  • Vote by entering your name and email address
  • Make sure you confirm your email address the first time you vote
  • Go back and vote during every time block you can, here are the four voting blocks
    • 12:01 am est to 6 am est
    • 6:01 am est to 12 pm est
    • 12:01 pm est to 6 pm est
    • 6:01 pm est to 12 am est

The way it reads is that you can vote up to four times a day – we need to come together and do this so we can win!

The winning town gets $25,000 community donation and the title of the Ultimate Fishing Town USA!  How’d THAT be for tourism.  (no question mark intentional)

Free Fishing Seminar: June 27th

Sunjammers Watersports is holding a FREE fishing seminar on Saturday June 27th.

Whether you’ve been fishing since you could hold a rig or still have trouble figuring out when and what lure or bait to use, you should stop by the free fishing seminar hosted by Sunjammers Watersports. This seminar is a family friendly clinic on all there is to know about fishing from tying knots to casting nets. It’s open to the public and totally free, so grab your pole and tackle box and head out to Sunjammers Watersports.

Seminar will run from 10:00am – 2:00pm

Clinic schedule
10:00 – 10:45 knot and rigging.
11:00- 11:45 cast net throwing.
12:00 – 12:30 picking out your gear.
12:45- 2:00 working lures to catch trout and reds.
