The NEW 30 Degree Blue in Panama City Beach: From Fine Dining to a Local Pub

Most people who are familiar with Panama City Beach restaurants will probably have heard of 30 Degree Blue, an upscale dining establishment that has always boasted some of Panama City Beach’s most gourmet cuisine.  However, not everyone may know that 30 Degree Blue is now under new ownership and that it has exchanged its white linen tablecloths for big screen TVs and paper napkins. What was once 30 Degree Blue Restaurant is now 30 Degree Blue Pub and Eatery, and it’s set to become one of Panama City Beach’s top spots for casual dining, after work drinks and watching the big game.

30 Degree Blue is still in the same stunning location overlooking the Bay Point Marina – complete with spectacular sunsets and gorgeous views. An easy drive from all areas of the beach, Bay Point feels like a world away and provides visitors with a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere just minutes from all the action. Re-opened in December 2009, 30 Degree Blue Pub & Eatery in Panama City Beach is now owned and managed by Terry Nadeau and Andy James, both long-time residents of the surrounding area with a commitment to making this laid-back hangout a Panama City Beach favorite.

The spacious restaurant provides ample seating around the cozy central bar area and outside on the patio overlooking the beautiful pool. Once the weather gets a little warmer, the open-air patio will be the setting for a weekly Sunday brunch, which is sure to be a popular choice for both locals and visitors. Inside, a total of 8 large screen TVs, appetizing cuisine and a comfy vibe puts 30 Degree Blue Pub & Eatery straight on the list of the top sports bars and restaurants in Panama City Beach. The menu consists of traditional American fare with a southern influence (Shrimp Po’ Boy anyone?) and includes delectable burgers, a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, pizzas and baskets. The Pizza is so good you’ll think it was made in an authentic Italian restaurant, and comes with a made-from-scratch crust and a selection of toppings. The sandwiches are also very impressive – try the French Dip with Au Jus or the roasted Cajun turkey club, both 30 Degree Blue favorites!

Bringing the kids? 30 Degree Blue in Panama City Beach has the perfect solution for adults looking for some time out to enjoy a meal or drinks – a separate lounge area equipped with Wii and a pool table, especially for the younger patrons.  There’s also karaoke on Thursday nights, and live entertainment from local musician Kevin Jacobs on Saturday evenings.

30 Degree Blue Pub & Eatery is located at the Bay Point Marina, Panama City Beach. Call (850) 236 1115 for more details.

  1. I was in there yesterday… The TV’s are NOT big screens… (Very misleading artical)
There is 1 big screen its a 1990 model tucked away in the back room…. What happened to all the sports memorabilia? The place looks empty!
And the pizza was frozen, store bought. I was not happy…. you couldn’t pay me to go back in that place! Good Luck! You guys are gonna need it…..

  2. have been there a few times-last two times they were out of 3 different types of beer and also out of most of the draft beer-how does that happen on a sat. nite? Ordered the nachos-great presentation, but they used squeeze out of a bottle cheese that was soooo gross it wasn’t edible. In the bathrooms, they use clip on toilet air fresheners like gross gas stations do-come on guys-just clean the damn bathrooms instead. We would love to go there more often, but it just not worth the money and aggravation.

  3. What a tragedy. The service was awful, entrees had not been delivered to our table after 1 hour so we just cancelled the meal. No one even seemed to care.

Miss the days of fine crab cakes and wine selection at the old 30. Will never go back.

  4. This place is GREAT for relaxing with kids. Sit on the patio and let the kids run and play on the nice lawn area or watch the yachts come in from the bay. The hamburgers and pizza are great, nachos are HUGE and service was just fine. I don’t know what happened with the other posters, but we go there all the time and love it. No, it’s not fancy, but it’s not meant to be. Kids meals are 4 bucks including drink and cookie, so it’s easy on the wallet when your kids have all their friends over. Last year there were fireworks over the bay every Thursday evening. I do wish we could hear the live music outside. Thats my only pseudo complaint.

  5. This is my FIRST time ever writing a review. My family just ate here for a celebratory dinner for my sister who participated in the Florida Iron Man. Drinks were very good. Place was empty, but it was a sunday night. Our waitress was new but she tried her best. However, 5 out 6 meals came out cold. Broccoli was not even warm. Prime rib was so undercooked after my father told the waitress about 4 times how he wanted the meat cooked. He was careful not to commit to “medium” and kept repeating “whatever your chef calls ‘just pink’. The shrimp with the shrimp scampi was terribly salty and so were everyone’s potatoes. Even the nachos were too salty! My sister went to complain to the manager since we waited so long for dinner (when there was only one other table) and the food still came out cold, salty and undercooked. Then things got ugly when the chef came out and was confrontational and defensive. Telling us our meals weren’t cold. He wasn’t the one eating them! He was arrogant and nasty. Telling us he doesn’t use salt on any of his meals. Really??? The food did have nice flavor but there was way too much salt. When we placed out orders, the waitress came over and said they were out of shrimp scampi. I asked it was the shrimp or pasta they were out of. She said pasta so I said to just give me whatever pasta they had. My dish showed up with angel hair pasta and I was told, “they made it happen for me”. Great! My meal was the only one that was hot. I suspect someone ran to the store for pasta and the other meals sat on the warming tray for 30 minutes! The chef is what ruined our whole night. He could have handled it so much better. We were not trying to be confrontational and the chef’s behavior was completely out of line. This place isn’t worth visiting.

  6. This place is terrible, we will go back and we will tell all our friends. The new owner has no clue how to run a nice restaurant.
We live in bay point and would love a nice casual place to eat .

  7. I meant to say we will never go back to eat there! The bartender was obviously drinking on the job and the prime was so fatty. What a shame…

  8. Excellent blog! Do you have any helpful hints
for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own site soon but
I’m a little lost on everything. Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress
or go for a paid option? There are so many
options out there that I’m totally overwhelmed ..
    Any tips? Kudos!
