Another perfect opportunity to spend time on Panama City Beach! It’s the first weeeknd of Fall, feels great, and there is so much to do, for any and all ages. Last weekend we had some great events that started with Liza’s winemaker dinner, celebrated on the beach for Lobster Fest and finished off the weekend with Neil Young. This weekend we have some really great things happening on Panama City Beach including a great Sport fishing tournament, amazing deals at the Zoo and Fireworks off of Grand Lagoon. 5K Bridge Run/1 Mile Fun Walk
Saturday morning enjoy unparalleled views, keep fit and help a great cause-run or walk the Bridge to a Brighter Day 5K Bridge Run/1 Mile Fun Walk. Packet pick-up and registration begins at 6:30 am at Carl Grey Park, at the eastern end of the Hathaway Bridge. Proceeds benefit Second Chance of Northwest Florida, Inc., serving adults with brain injuries. First 200 participants will receive a runners sack. Sportfish Classic Fishing Tournament
Bay Point Marina hosts the Panama City Beach Sportfish Classic Fishing Tournament. The Festival portion begins this Saturday at 3:00 p. m. There’ll be live music, awards; the weigh-in starts at 7:00 p. m. For more information call Bay Point Marina at (850) 235-6911.
St. Andrews State Park International Coastal Clean-Up
Love the beach? Show the love on Saturday morning,join International Coastal Clean-Up- beach lovers all over the world, AND right here at St. Andrews State Park. The Friends of St. Andrews State Park are hosting a clean up you’ll get free admission to the park, early participants get t-shirts, and water will be provided. Bring work gloves, and a pick up stick if you have one. Begins at 9:00 a. m.
Zoo World Zoobilee
More fun celebrating nature- Don’t miss Zoobilee 2010 at Zoo World on Front Beach Road. Unbelievable-only ONE DOLLAR per visitor admission ( 2 and under are FREE!) Fireworks
Speaking of celebrations- grab a lawn chair and see the spectacular “Fireworks Over The Grand Lagoon.” Beginning Saturday evening around 9:00 p. m. You’ll have great views at the Boatyard, Capt. Andersons Marina, as well as any of the usual spots on the East End of the beach.

For a delicious time and a great cause, check out Compassionate Chefs For Kids. Put a little glam in your weekend at Bay Point Marriott Resort, and feel great about it!
