Fitness & Wellness Expert to Speak at Women’s Symposium

On Friday, October 22, the Panama City Beach Chamber is hosting The 2010 Women’s Work-Life Symposium at FSU-Panama City. This all-day affair features a lineup of professional, female speakers who will help Attendees explore practical solutions and strategies for creating a healthy work-life balance.

Among the Symposium speakers is fitness & wellness expert Debbie Siebers, creator of several well-known video programs for global wellness conglomerate Beachbody. Siebers teaches that a healthy lifestyle is not a mistake; it is a conscious decision with life-changing benefits. Her program will focus on overcoming the obstacles to success, and her message is loud and clear: “Have the confidence to dream big and reach your full potential!”

Beachbody’s core purpose, to help people achieve their goals and enjoy a healthy, fulfilling life, is realized by offering the most innovative, results-oriented programs and skilled, motivational trainers. In 1999, Siebers was approached by Beachbody to create the ‘Thin Thighs Guaranteed!’™ video. The popularity of that workout led to the development and marketing of the highly successful ‘Slim in 6’® and ‘Slim Series’® Beachbody video programs, and by 2004, ‘Slim in 6’ was the top fitness program on TV. America’s current #1 fitness infomercial, P90X®, and the master of motivation behind it, Tony Horton, are also products of Beachbody.

Other Symposium speakers for the day include Dana Williams, Director of Marketing and Communications for Southwest Airlines, Florida House Representative Marti Coley, Sabrina McLaughlin, APR of Insight Marketing, Barbara Lay, Associate Director for the Jim Moran Institute at Florida State University in Tallahassee, and Tracey Tapp, MSOD and Julie Ray, Ed. D., Principals at Human Resource Consulting.
