Taste of the Bay's 'Taste The Beach'

Wineries and restaurants both local and from all over the country could be found Friday night at Taste The Beach in Pier Park. It began at 5:30 p.m. with wine enthusiasts starting out at the front of the 3 tents. Each tent had at least 20 different wines that could be enjoyed and multiple food stations where places like Bone Fish Grill was serving Ahi Tuna and Dee’s Hang Out was serving Jambalaya.

The wines were extraordinary and the food brought a wonderful tone to the cold evening.  The band was playing soothing funk music that elevated the night’s atmosphere to a blissful level that everyone enjoyed. The crowd ranged from locals who love supporting their community to tourists from Dayton, Ohio who were here visiting and who still have faith in the Gulf Coast.

Taste The Beach sold out every one of their tickets and for a great cause. Taste The Beach donated to 13 charities: Children in Crisis, Inc., Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast, Youth Village, Inc., Children’s Volunteer Health Network, Inc., Shelter House, Inc., Pathways for Change, Big Brother Big Sisters of Northwest Florida, Emerald Coast Autism Center, Emerald Coast Children’s Advocacy Center, Horizons, Eleanor J. Johnson Youth Center, Escape to Create, Seaside Neighborhood School and Panama City Beach Chamber of Commerce Education Foundation.
