“Back To The 50’s (and 60’s) Tonight” Presented by the Pyramid School of Fine Arts

In case you missed it last year, the Panama City Pyramid School of Fine Arts will be putting on their fantastic musical performance “Back to the 50’s (and 60’s) Tonight” again in the New Year, and it will be the perfect cure for the post-Christmas blues! The show is a musical and comedy review of favorite hits from yesteryear, and features music and comedy from a number of area performers and Pyramid students.

The upcoming show is taking place Saturday, January 8th at 7:00 PM at Arnold High School Auditorium, and Beach 95.1’s Rocky and Randall Akins (of the Saturday morning “Rocky and Randall Road Show”) will be the headliners. “Back To The 50’s (and 60’s) Tonight” is a fundraiser performance to benefit the Pyramid School of Fine Arts, a non-profit, privately funded day training center for adults with developmental disabilities. The show is ideal for the whole family, and if you’re looking for a fun evening out with a chance to sing-along to some of your old favorites then this is the perfect event!

The Panama City Pyramid School of Fine Arts offers a full range of classes in visual and performing arts, tailored to each student’s level of ability and interests. Pyramid students volunteer regularly in the community in many different venues. The Rescue Mission’s most recent Festival of Trees included an entry from Pyramid that took third place in the “Large Tree” division, and several Pyramid artists are regular contributors to Covenant Hospice’s Mask Parade. Pyramid students also volunteer with Meals on Wheels and a number of other programs. The Pyramid Players regularly perform in nursing homes and most recently were heard caroling on Harrison Avenue as part of their “Light Up Downtown” event.

Tickets for the show are $10 each and can be purchased in advance by calling (850) 872 8105, by stopping by the Pyramid Gallery at 524 Harrison Avenue, Monday-Friday between 8 and 5, or on the door the night of the show.
