  1. Re: Cole Bros Circus Truck Crash The four performing elephants including 5 year old Val were involved in a Truck accident on the night of Oct. 15th. . To my knowledge a vet has not checked them out. They might look OK but injuries to a huge, heavy animal like an elephant being thrown around during an accident may not be realized yet, so we will have to see. These elephants are owned by The Carson and Barnes Circus and leased to Cole Bros. (The USDA just released a new violation report on them last week with a total fine of $3714) Both Circuses have been fined thousands of dollars for violations of the Animal Welfare Act. The American highway is no place for an elephant or any other wild animal. These elephants will be forced to perform stupid tricks for human entertainment and Poor Chang was forced to give rides the very next day after the crash. Please don’t contribute to this cruelty by purchasing a ticket or welcoming this circus back to your community. .
