This week we had a chance to see the fierce beauty of the beaches during a storm. It will most likely have passed through by the time most weekenders arrive, though it’s been exciting to see the competitors cruising around the course all week here. This weather should be much nicer for the triathletes as they swim the Gulf, bike the county and run the east end of the beach this weekend. On Friday night, Clint Black will be performing under the stars at Pier Park, do bring a nice jacket because there will be a breeze. There’s even more to do and taste this weekend, and the weather will be fall perfect. You might want a cover up on the sand in the mornings.

Daily Forecasts
Thursday night, a stiff north breeze should be clearing up the skies, you’ll see a one-of-a-kind Panama City Beach sunset at 5:53 p.m. Great time to try out a new sweater; low around 48 degrees.
Friday: Sunny, only up to 66 degrees, great sight-seeing.
Friday Night: Clear, may get down to 43 degrees! That’s brrr for us, but it will be just amazing for ‘gazing! (stargazing, that is.) It’ll start early, the sun sets at 5:52 p. m.
Saturday: Plenty of golden sun; take a cover up to go cheer the triathletes. High 66 degrees to 67 degrees.
Saturday Night: Sunset is at 5:52 p.m., and “only” down to 47 degrees. *DON’T forget to set your clock BACK*- if you are from Atlanta and other Eastern Time regions, well, I’ll let you figure that one out for yourselves. but you’re getting another hour of fantastic vacation time!
Sunday: Sun should warm us up to 70 degrees.
Sunday Night: Sun is setting at 5:51 p.m. to begin a beautiful night and the low should be about 51 degrees.
The Gulf is still full of fish, Kings, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Blue runners, Cobia, Pompano, Tarpon, Jacks, shark and more. There are rays as well, just make sure and shuffle, don’t stomp.
The water temperature is in the low to high 70’s – great snorkeling, or catching.
Brrr! It’s hard to believe we get that same Artic air the middle of the country enjoys about this time of year! It’s nice if you are out of the wind- but you miht be more comfortable on the beach in a hoodie than a bikini. Maybe a hoodie over a bikini… Take those temps down a degree or so, but enjoy the golden sun, the stars, and all the great events this weekend!
