– It’s New Year’s Eve-
WHAT: A list of 16 events on Panama City Beach for December 31, 2010. Celebrate in PCB. Local restaurants, accommodation properties, event centers, attractions have made Panama City Beach New Year’s Eve Central.
WHERE: All along the World’s Most Beautiful Beaches from the Hathaway Bridge all the way to the West End of Panama City Beach.
WHEN: December 31 with parties starting in the afternoon and some ending in 2011 at 4 a.m.
COST: Some are free! Some require reservations and some are walk-in friendly. Check with the property or http://www.visitpanamacitybeach.com for event specifics and pricing if applicable.
New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop at Pier Park The 800-pound glowing beach ball begins the more than 100-foot descent just before midnight. Pier Park festivities, free and open to the public, begin at 5:30 p.m. with family-friendly entertainment including bounce houses, party favors, street performers, stilt walkers and face painters. Kids beach ball drop at 8:00pm. The Barry Fish Band will perform for the Family Celebration.
The countdown celebration takes place from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. In addition to the highly-anticipated beach ball drop, guests will enjoy live musical performances, Nothing Short of Pure, The Springs, Headliner – Gloriana and a majestic midnight fireworks display over the Gulf of Mexico.
New Year’s Eve on the East End
Fireworks on the beach! Watch for the fireworks on the east end of the beach at midnight! Fireworks Show will be shot from the beach near Beach Access #4 and can be seen along the east end and also, from Grand Lagoon. It’s a big one!
