We’ve finally gotten a little rain. And now that that’s over with, expect a cool, clear weekend with tons of sunshine. This should be a lovely weekend for relaxing before next week’s holiday. Bring swimsuits, cover-ups, and something nice so you can treat yourself to a long delicious dinner or two. You might want a jacket so you can gaze at our beautiful skies day AND night. And don’t forget to check out some of this weekend’s events.
Daily Forecasts
Thursday Night: A little cool, clear, down to 45 possibly, with a brisk breeze. Bring a jacket so you can look at some truly amazing stars; sunset is at 4:45 pm.
Friday: Sunny, up to 69 degrees.
Friday Night: Clear, low near 52. Sunset at 4:45 pm.
Saturday: Sunny and so nice, just like last week; take a cover up AND sunscreen. High perfect 73.
Saturday Night: Sunset at 4: only going down to 57.
Sunday: Sunny, clear, beautiful 74 degrees.
Sunday Night: Sun setting at 4:44 pm -low should be around 58.
What to expect from the Gulf
If you are just getting here you’ll enjoy a lovely weekend, the surf will be quieter than this week after our nice rain blew through. If you get to stay longer than a weekend, you might one day see what a thrilling vista the beach gives you on a cloudy day. Or do you prefer just sun? Or do you like the winds and strong tides as well? Let us know what you think.
The water temp is in the high 60s now – very refreshing. Always aquaint yourselves with our beach flag safety system, and remember two red flags means STAY out of the water.
The Gulf is still boiling with fish, Folks are entering local tourneys and surf fishing and seeing Kings, Sheepshead, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, Blue runners, Cobia, Pompano, Tarpon, Jacks, shark and more.
The graceful rays are still with us, just watch your feet – shuffle through the surf, don’t stomp.
