Last Minute Shopping Ideas

Amazingly, I’m not the type of person who waits till the last minute to get things done. Unless, of course, you count the cleaning frenzy I pull off, seconds before the husband is off work, which I (obviously) don’t count as procrastination. You say Tomato, I say TO-MAH-TOE.

Shopping, specifically, Holiday shopping, is a little harder to pull off and for whatever reason, there’s never enough time to get it all done. Or at least, completed with that feeling of having found everyone the “right” gift.

In an effort to break through the gift-idea doldrums, here’s some last minute shopping ideas.

Florida League Of Cities to BOOST NWFL Marketing

The dust is finally settling around the Panhandle, bringing with it the need to do a little image enhancing.

During the oil spill, misinformation regarding the impact the spill had on our beaches prompted many to choose other destinations for their vacations. Thankfully, our beaches were spared and the brunt of the spill never touched the snow-white sands of our shores.

Free Clint Black Concert in Pier Park Draws Thousands

The crowd was standing or sitting in their chairs and blankets, cuddled up into each other’s arms Friday night at Pier Park. All waiting and trying to see the stage where Clint Black would perform. The lights went down and at the sound of a guitar the audience jumped up with enthusiastic screams.  Clint Black, with his signature black cowboy hat, brought some heat into the cold night air.

Gulf World Marine Park De-Oiling Success

Gulf World Marine Park has had great success in de-oiling sea turtles and leading the way for them to return to their natural habitat over the last couple months.  The only de-oiling facility for sea turtles in Northwest Florida, they’ve seen hundreds of turtles come through their program since the Gulf oil spill crisis, but have seen it slow down considerably over the last couple weeks.  Right now, they have around 60 turtles that are preparing to be released back into the wild.  They just did a huge release yesterday of 23 turtles.

PCB City Pier Update – Boardwalk a comin'!

Most of the new City Pier on Panama city beach is up and running. But I’ve been noticing as I’ve wandered about Pier Park that there is some construction happening at the foot of the City Pier. So today the weather was a bit warmer I took a stroll just to see what was going on. What follows are some of the photos I took.
