Business EXPO Coming Up

This year’s Business Expo is coming up fast!  Put on every year by the Panama City Beach’s Chamber of Commerce, this year is the 18th year and the theme is “Around the World.”

The thing that’s cool about a business expo is it gives us an excuse to get out there, meet others in our business community and network with potential customers.  Of course, since we are business to business it’s especially fun.

Thursday Night Concrete Concert Series

“Tell me whatcha gonna do tonight and tomorrow…” If last Thursday was any indication, a lot of folks will be rockin’ out at the flyover at Thomas Drive and Front Beach Road ( a.k.a the old Wayne’s World Plaza ) for the second week of the Concrete Concert Series. Over a hundred folks attended the last concert complete with coolers and beach chairs, but the musical entertainment had them on their feet for much of the event.

Coordinated by Thunder Ciolkosz, Thursday night’s line up will feature homegrown bluesman, Tony Vegas and the Hard Time Blues Band. Bring a chair for a family friendly, fun, and free Thursday night of ripping blues licks. Show starts at 7:00 p.m. For more info call 850-234-1919.

Will the Seafood Festival be Back?

This week’s TDC meeting ended unclear of the future of the Panama City Beach Seafood Wine and Music Festival.  The event last year was more successful than it had ever been, but it also had $210,000 worth of funding.  There is only a prospective $60,000 on the table this year, and that’s not even certain.  With nobody having stepped up to the plate to take over running the event and limited funds, at this point, the future of the Seafood Festival is totally unknown.
