Weekend Events – Yappy Hour, Little Black Dress and More

This upcoming weekend will be a fantastic weekend in Panama City Beach to relax and get ready for the holiday season.  Bring your camera and try a little nature photography or check out St. Andrews State Park.  This is your chance to enjoy the beaches at perhaps their most lovely or do a little special shopping.  It’ll be a unique time here on the world’s most beautiful beaches.

Taste of the Bay's 'Taste The Beach'

Wineries and restaurants both local and from all over the country could be found Friday night at Taste The Beach in Pier Park. It began at 5:30 p.m. with wine enthusiasts starting out at the front of the 3 tents. Each tent had at least 20 different wines that could be enjoyed and multiple food stations where places like Bone Fish Grill was serving Ahi Tuna and Dee’s Hang Out was serving Jambalaya.

Free Clint Black Concert in Pier Park Draws Thousands

The crowd was standing or sitting in their chairs and blankets, cuddled up into each other’s arms Friday night at Pier Park. All waiting and trying to see the stage where Clint Black would perform. The lights went down and at the sound of a guitar the audience jumped up with enthusiastic screams.  Clint Black, with his signature black cowboy hat, brought some heat into the cold night air.

Weekend Events – Emerald Coast Cruizin, Veterans Day Celebrations

This weekend begins on November 11th, as we remember and honor our military veterans. While you’re here, there are plenty of events for the whole family. Beginning with a Veterans’ Day Parade, PCB offers a classic car show, a once a year shopping event, a beach celebration and much more!

Veterans Day Parade in Downtown Panama City

The Bay County Commission and the Bay County Veterans Council hosts the annual Veterans Day Parade on Thursday November 11th in downtown Panama City, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the 1200 block of Harrison Avenue. The parade includes a military review and a wreath-laying ceremony as well as vocalists, bagpipes and the Mosley High School Marine Corps JROTC.

Free Ticket Giveaway!

Next weekend’s HUGE event is the Emerald Coast Cruizin’ Classic Car Show. Frank Brown Park will be filled to the brim with sweet shiny show cars ranging from rat-rods to glossy polished hot-rod school buses.  Last year’s event had cars stretching from one end to another in an endless sea of machismo.  This year’s event looks to be even more promising with thousands of cars in attendance.

And just for you, we have a free ticket giveaway!! There will be 4 winners, each winner getting 5 tickets each. Contest starts today and ends on Friday, November 5th at 5 p.m.

Iron Man Triathlon Bikes, Swims and Runs into Panama City Beach This Weekend

The Iron Man Florida Triathlon is held every year at this time, and is one of Panama City Beach’s most exciting events, when athletes from all across the globe come to the Gulf Coast to test their levels of endurance on land and sea. Participants will swim 2.4 miles, bike 112 miles and run 26.2 miles, with the race kicking off on the beach behind the Boardwalk Beach Resort this coming Friday, November 6, 2010.

Both participants and spectators of the Triathlon are already arriving in town and gearing up for what will no doubt be another great year for this awe-inspiring event. Whether you want to know where it’s all happening so you can avoid the traffic diversions, or get right in the middle of the action, here’s a detailed schedule of what’s happening and where this weekend. Weekend Events – Clint Black at Taste of the Bay

This weekend is going to be one of the best weekends in Panama City Beach. Clint Black will be playing a free concert at Taste of the Bay. Wine and food lovers will be coming to Pier Park to partake in Taste of the Bay. Triathletes from all over will be participating in the Ironman Triathlon this weekend. Weekend Events – Halloween This Weekend

Here are this weekend’s events.  With Halloween this weekend, we have some really spooky stuff going on here, in Panama City Beach.  With things all up and down the beach, there is everything from family friendly to adult fun.

Books Alive…Local!

For something literary, a little bit different, and a lot local, this Friday the 29th, The Bay County Public Library presents Books Alive Local!  Friday morning at 10, writers talk about romance-and mystery! Well known World War II  Writer Bruce Gamble will be here, along with Michael Lister, Marlene Womack and a host of other local authors. Saturday morning at 9 come back for conversation, sales, signings and more!

Weekend Events – Pier Opening, Circus, Steel Magnolias

Sunny Indian Summer weather welcomes you to take part in historic openings at beach piers, check out a circus big top, scarecrows and a jazz festival-come on down!

Piers- Grand Opening

The city and county fishing piers will hold twin celebrations Friday to mark the official completion of both structures.

First head out to Bay Countyís M.B. Miller Pier at 2 p.m. There’ll be cake! (and a fishing contest) The fishing competition begins each Friday at 5 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. on Sunday at both piers.

At Panama City Beach’s Russell-Fields Pier, beginning at 4 p.m., Scott Lindsey remembers Dan Russell and Elgin “Popeye” Fields Jr.  Hookd Pier Cafe hosts their grand opening – free food. Even more food courtesy Buffalo Wild Wings, Reggae Jís Island Grill and Back Porch Seafood & Oyster House- and live music.

If this isn’t enough fun- watch out for fireworks at BOTH piers-  8 o’clock Friday night!
